JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER (PAYMENT SPECIALIST)

Our multinational client based in the French speaking part of Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne) is now looking for a Junior Business Applications Project Manager (Payment Specialist). This will be a permanent position.

Only English is required, French will be an asset.

The Role:

As a junior Project Manager you will be responsible for the specification, planning, implementation, testing and management of changes and medium projects around payments services. The role will require management of full life cycle projects and change management.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

As a Junior Project Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the following activities:
The management and delivery of projects and changes (primarily involving the development and implementation of IT systems) to meet identified business needs.
Ensures that proposed solutions are fit for purpose , will deliver the expected benefits and are fully operable and supportable in the environment.
The individual will take personal responsibility for the successful delivery of small to medium projects as well as changes.
Monitor, manage and report progress throughout the life of the project, correctly identifying and escalating risks, issues, variances, and exceptions to the agreed plan.
Ensuring formal project governance is adhered to using the agreed Project Management Methodology.
Work on a daily basis with the Technical Project Managers to ensure that all elements of the projects are managed and controlled appropriately.
Provide support and payment services expertise to other projects.

You need:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

Excellent business analysis skills
Experience in delivering complex solutions, including across a range of technologies
Experience of Project Management in a structured environment
Demonstrable achievement in small (changes) to medium project delivery
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
Goal oriented and the ability to drive others to meet and surpass their goals
The ability, resilience and diplomacy to deal with and resolve conflict
Project management tools (e.g. HP Portfolio Manager and MS Project) experience

Basic understanding of payment services for:

A retail and multi-channel environment: from payment in brick-and-mortar boutiques, call centres and e-commerce platforms.
Notions such as payment service providers, credit cards vs. debit cards, Paypal.
Notions such as PCI, 3D secure, Verified by Visa

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a University degree with IT orientation (HES, EPFL or equivalent) with a first professional experience of 1 to 2 years. You need a strong planning & organization skills, a service orientation mindset and is focused on results.
