Pre-Sales Engineer -The Cork Pre Sale Engineer will be working in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Product Managers. He/She will be the technical bridge between our Business Unit Pre Sales engineers, the Cork Helpdesk, the Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers. The Pre-Sales Engineer will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both via telephone and online including a level of on site assistance where required.
Skills required:
Language: Excellent French and English
Minimum 2 years as Pre Sales or Post Sales engineer experience in computer software or systems environment
In addition to the obvious technical knowledge requirement a strong appreciation of the sales process will be a distinct advantage
Minimum 2 years experience in one or more of the following: Server/Desktop Operating Systems, Networking Architecture, Messaging Servers, Firewalls, Inter-relational Products and Peripherals customized to each client network
Ability to conduct formal and informal training sessions or presentations.
This tier would have similar Level 2 Post channel support technical skills
Strong Knowledge of Linux, Unix and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
Understanding of TCPIP networks is a requirement
Experience on mail server and Gateway server an advantage
Some Domino administration desirable
Qualified to degree or diploma level in a technical field. MCSE/CCNA/Checkpoint
Ability to effectively instruct or guide customers via telephone, online or on site.
Excellent English written and spoken communication skills
Presentation skills
Language: Excellent French and English or German and English
