DBA ORACLE/MS SQL SERVER

Our global pharmaceutical client based in Lausanne - Switzerland is now looking to hire on a permanent basis a:
DBA Oracle
Certified DBA Oracle with MCSA or MS SQL Server
Fluent English mandatory
Age Indication: 30-35 years old
Salary: 120,000 CHF

The Role:

The core responsibilities of the DBA are:

- Database monitoring, backup and recovery, trouble shooting and tuning for reliability and performance.
- Database design, system configuration, installation, and security planning.
- Assist in creating standards documentation for network and security infrastructure and ensuring compliance.
- Perform technical implementations, infrastructure support and analysis, and provide technical support to the IT community for projects, implementation and management of existing and new technologies.

You will:

- Install and update the Oracle Database server and application tools.
- Allocate system storage and schedule future storage requirements for the database system.
- Create primary database storage structures and primary objects after application developers
have designed an application.
- Create and manage Standby Database or other High availability procedure if needed.
- Create and manage Oracle RAC cluster.
- Understand and analyze PL/SQL code.
- Modify the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application
developers.
- Ensure compliance with Oracle license agreements.
- Control and monitor user access to the database.
- Maintain archived data on tape.
- Back up and restore the database.
- Management of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend effective new of improved technologies.
- Maintain documentation for core global database and components.
- Attend technical training as required to ensure administrative knowledge.

You need:

- University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) with minimum 4 years working as DBA with MCSA certifications.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle version 10 and administration tools, for administration installation, database creation, tuning and clustering.
- Knowledge of Unix (AIX) systems and different shell scripting language.
- Ability to work autonomously and complete assigned projects responsibilities with limited supervision.
- You are fluent in English and in French.
- Good ability to communicate and good interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
- Good team worker with strong interpersonal and excellent organizational skills.
